Random 25 facts about me:
1. Jen may attract mosquitos from all four corners of the world, but I think I have it worse: I’m a Daddy Long Legs magnet, and I think they do this just to spite me.
2. I daydream. A lot. And I make playlists for daydreaming purposes. It helps me get through life.
3. I have high hopes and high expectations, and I will probably be very disappointed with how everything turns out in the end.
4. I used to be able to read like, a book a week. A book every few days. Now I struggle to get through a book every three or four weeks. I need to get on that.
5. I miss some people in Boston. I don’t miss school. I’m too sick to my stomach every time I see half the people I used to really care about. It makes me glad I’m graduating a year early.
6. I think people who can’t carry a conversation aren’t worth my time and effort. My measure of friendship is this: if you and I can talk for hours without getting bored, we’re bffs. It doesn’t matter if this is what happens every time we hang out. It matters that it’s possible. If it’s not, I’m not interested in pursuing any real sort of meaningful relationship, be it romantic or platonic, with you.
7. I make name lists all the time. I can rattle off my favourite names at any given moment. And I can come up with random facts about them, or facts about names in general, at a moment’s notice.
8. I’ve become obsessed with the television show Criminal Minds. I’m also in love with Hotch. And Reid. But mostly Hotch.
9. I do not ever want to date a guy who is younger than me ever again. I’m sick of immature people.
10. I don’t like to talk about my sexual experiences. I don’t know why, but I feel like it’s weird to do so. And there’s really no good reason for it.
11. I love to wear black because it looks great on me. Not because I’m depressed.
12. It only takes one or two compliments on my writing to make me re-realise that I’m actually a really good writer. It also only takes one look at most of my competition to realise that there’s a chance I could get published someday. And it helps when my friends have such utter faith in me.
13. If I have kids, I’d prefer to have two boys.
14. I used to have a Peter Pan syndrome, in the sense that I was terrified of getting older. Now I’m excited to be more mature, have a real job, and start a life outside of childhood and school. I still miss being a kid sometimes. But whereas all my friends are dreading turning thirty or whatever in a decade, I’m starting to get excited.
15. My favourite two things in the world: toffee and coffee. Give me one, I love you lots. Give me two, I love you forever.
16. My dream guy is: Tall. Black or brown hair. Pale skin. Relatively slim or relatively athletic. Sensitive. Sweet. Funny. Talented. Brilliant. Bonus points if he’s from Ireland or has a great name.
17. I don’t have my ears pierced, but I do have a lip ring. This shocks a lot of people for some reason.
18. I like to sing a lot. And I’m good. I wish I was in a band.
19. I used to be really picky. Now, I’ve started enjoying things I previously hated (i.e: tomatoes, broccoli, spinach, peppers, blue cheese, sausage.) Now the only things I really refuse to eat are mushrooms (unless they’re Chanterelle, and then I can deal with it) and bananas.
20. I got reading glasses in December. I actually really like them a lot, and I think they make me look smart. And I actually don’t look half-bad in them. I find myself wearing them even when I don’t have to which is probably not the greatest idea.
21. I really want to find a guy. Really. Really. But I’m so damn picky and I never seem to catch a break in the romance department.
22. I never watch movies by myself. I actually have some movies that haven’t been unwrapped because no one watches with me. :(
23. Currently, I am working on my thesis. It’s a crime novel. But that’s only one of the many projects I’m working on, and the other three ideas I had are sitting on the back burner. Some ideas are fading entirely into nothing. I can’t say I miss them.
24. If there was one celebrity I would do anything to have just one night with, it’d be Cillian Murphy. Seriously.
25. When I get married, I don’t want a wedding dress. I want to buy a designer dress that is fucking epic, so that way I can wear it again. And anyway, white and traditional doesn’t really suit me.
